10TACTLE Studios announced a co-operative deal with Asian Games & Media Private Equity Fund that will aid the publisher in bringing the next Ready 2 Rumble Boxing game to Wii.
syn Sophia, the developer formerly known as AKI Corporation, is leading development on the new game. While the studio has not worked on the Ready 2 Rumble Boxing series in the past, the company developed a number of other acclaimed wrestling titles, including WWF No Mercy for Nintendo 64 and the Def Jam series on GameCube.
10TACTLE Studios did not provide gameplay details or a release date for Ready 2 Rumble Boxing on Wii.
Ready 2 Rumble Boxing, originally released by Midway in 1999 on various platforms, featured a colorful, arcade-like style similar to Nintendo's own Punch Out!! series. By executing hard punches consecutively, players could earn letters that spelled out "RUMBLE". After obtaining all the letters, players could unleash their boxer's special super move. The following year, Midway released a sequel to the game subtitled Round 2.
