The Game Factory announced today that the 3D fighting title Legend of
the Dragon, based on the European television show, will release for Wii
in Q2 2007.
"We are delighted to be publishing for the Nintendo
Wii," said Game Factory President Henrik Mathiasen. "While the Xbox 360
and Sony PlayStation 3 next-gen consoles have really captured the
imagination of the more mature gamer, at Game Factory were really
excited about the potential impact Nintendo's Wii will have on the
children's market, as this is obviously our forte."
Legend of
the Dragon follows the adventures of Ang Lueng, the newly chosen Golden
Dragon warrior, as he trains to defeat the evil Zodiac Master Woo Yin
and simultaneously combat his vengeful twin sister Ling, upset that she
wasn't chosen as the Golden Dragon.
Gamers will have 19
characters to choose from, each with unique fighting techniques,
strengths and movements. Additionally, all characters wear magical
wristbands that enable them to transform into mystical warriors
representative of a certain zodiac creature. The game will be presented
in a cel-shaded style and feature destructible environments, a
real-time spell casting system and some light RPG elements, such as the
ability to power-up fighters.
The Wiire will keep you updated on Wii game announcements.
