Speaking with IGN Wii,
Nintendo of America's Vice President of Marketing and Corporate affairs
Perrin Kaplan confirmed Internet speculation that the DVD movie
playback feature had been removed from Wii.
Kaplan cited the
reason the feature was scrapped was to lower the price of the console
since most homes already have dedicated DVD players.
