Nintendo: 'Core' Gamers Will Be Happy With E3 '08

By Andrew Clark / June 19, 2008

With the Wii's new audience that is casual gamers, there has been a lot of hype about the 'core' gamers being forgotten. More and more, these 'core' gamers look to E3 to ease their worries that they are not being forgotten. As we are less than a month away from E3, and anticipation grows, Nintendo's Marc Franklin (director of PR) has hinted about what to expect from Nintendo's showing that may possibly alleviate some of the tension.

Contrary to Reggie's comments, where he said one big announcement would be made, Marc Franklin seemed to think bigger. He cited the already announced Super Mario Sluggers, as well as third-party publishers stepping up big time. Only time will tell if these third-parties make actual games, or simply shovelware.
