A music game called Daigasso! Band Brothers came out for the DS in Japan way back in 2004, and for a while it was planned to come here as Jam With the Band, but those plans never came to fruition.
A sequel, Daigasso! Band Brothers DX, was announced last month, and details are starting to emerge on an interesting gameplay element that uses Wii-to-DS connectivity in a way we haven't yet seen.
The game uses a downloadable "Speaker Channel" for Wii, which streams the music you create to your television speakers for everyone nearby to hear.
There are still no plans to bring the series to North America or Europe, but if Nintendo could use it as another means of promoting connectivity and unique Wii channels, they might reconsider.
