According to Kotaku, the new edition of Samba De Amigo for Wii may reportedly have what they call "Maraca Sleeves". This would be in place of maraca shaped Wii remotes, which would most likely end up being a more costly alternative. These sleeves will possibly be shells of maracas that will allow for Wii remotes to snap in, similar to the Guitar Hero guitar shell.
The game itself will be a rhythm game, where players have to hold maracas in one of three positions. The three positions include above the head, waist height, and pointing the Wii remotes at the floor. This unique rhythm game looks to draw the casual audience that has found a new home on the Wii, but also seeks to keep the more hardcore fans of Samba De Amigo interested.
