Wii Chef Robot

by Ian Mikutel (2008-05-09)

First we had the WiiBot, a sword-weilding, tennis-playing, WiiMote-controlled "friendly robot".  Then we had the WiigoBot, helping you bowl a perfect game of 300.  But none of them could cook you breakfast...until now.

The Wii Chef robot does, and in the video below you can watch as it cooks its Recipe of the Day: The Ham 'N Cheese omlet.  The robot does everything from whipping eggs to grating cheese, learning and remembering each task you teach it.

Using stereoscopic vision with the combination of the Wii Remote, "a controller is computed to fulfill as best as possible the task constraints during the execution of the skill, even in case of perturbations."

The Wii may not be large enough to be a grill, but it can be your own personal chef.  Hit the video below to see the Wii Chef Robot in action.
