Colin Reed, one of the "big dawg" programmers for Nintendo, will be leaving the company in favor of a cushy new chair awaiting him at Microsoft.
Reed was an integral part of Nintendo for 11 years, involved in projects such as Pikmin for GameCube and Metroid Prime: Hunters for the Nintendo DS. He also marks yet another departure in a recent string of leavings, including key staff members from Retro Studios.
Reed will be teaming up with Microsoft's Turn 10 studio, the internal development team responsible for the Forza franchise.
Considering the staggering success and popularity of the Wii, all these departures seem rather peculiar. But, 'tis the nature of the beast and big business industry. Hopefully Reed will feel more fulfilled with Microsoft.
